Minnesota point guard Ricky Rubio has recently dropped hints of leaving Timberwolves if the team cannot make it to the playoffs next season in a recent interview. The 26-year old point guard is currently locked in a $56-million four-year contract that ends in 2019.
Although an excellent pass-first point guard, Timberwolves’ Ricky Rubio may be traded away for his inconsistent shooting as Minnesota’s Tom Thibodeau promises to turn things around next season with a team revamp. Meanwhile, other teams are apparently eyeing to acquire Rubio in a trade which includes the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls.
