Super Mario Run Review: Was It Worth The Wait?
Was your $10 getting its worth after downloading the full version of Super Mario Run?
Just in time when we're getting ready for the holiday season, Super Mario Run has made its much anticipated debut last Thursday. It has been on the watch list of iOS users since it was first announced on September.
Undoubtedly it set the record for the "most downloaded iOS game" for it reached 2.85 million downloads on its released date. These numbers defeated the record Pokemon Go has set July of this year. Of course, we can't really fairly compare these two: Super Mario Run was available in 150 countries, while Pokemon Go started out with just three.
Super Mario Run features three different modes that you can try out for free. But in order to have access in all 24 level for a complete experience, there is a one-time fee of $9.99. The game is available in 151 countries, to be exact, and supports multiple languages including English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and more.
Nintendo is fully aware of the high expectations for Super Mario Run. People can't help it though as this is the first real mobile game Nintendo has ever released. This game is ideally played on one-hand with one-tap controls as Mario automatically runs to the right all throughout the game. Players have to tap to jump, to grab coins, leap over gaps and stomp on Goombas.
Super Mario Run kept its classic theme with the 2D gameplay with 3D graphics, only simplified. There are new tweaks added on the mobile game but of course, that is to give gamers something to look forward to.
If you haven't downloaded the game, another thing to consider before doing so is to keep in mind that Super Mario Run only runs online. So better make sure there is a Wi-Fi readily available or your data allowance hasn't reached its limit to fully enjoy the game.
