Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition 1.3 Patch Is Now On PS4 and XBox One

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can now update their Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition with patch 1.3. The patch has been live on the PC for a while now, days ahead of their console counterparts. The update will not be as extensive as the PC. This is mainly because issues on that platform may not always apply on the console version. The developers believe these new additions will provide players with smoother gameplay experience.

The following is written on Skyrim patch notes for 1.3: General stability and performance improvements; fixed an issue where slow time effects weren't behaving properly; better support for 144hz displays [PC]; fixed issue with being unable to log into Bethesda.net.

The Skyrim Special Edition recently received an update just a few days back which fixed an odd glitch regarding the game's slow motion mechanics. There are certain moments where the game will trigger its slow motion feature which will give player a short advantage over an enemy. The glitch unfortunately slowed down the rest of the game on the screen instead of only the enemy. Elder Scrolls V Players can now properly use the slow motion as intended.

Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition is a remaster of Bethesda Game Studio's award winning epic fantasy title which sold 30 million copies since it was first released in 2011. It features everything from the original game, from full content to post-release downloadable content like the Dawnguard expansion and Dragonborn add-ons.

In related news, rumors are afloat of the remastered Skyrim game coming to Nintendo Switch but nothing is confirmed. Todd Howard, game director of Skyrim, says he tried the device and loved it while confirming his support for the new gaming system.

"I love it. I got to play it," said Howard about Nintendo Switch Skyrim. "I will tell you - well, maybe that's an N.D.A. thing. One of the best demos I've ever seen. Probably the best demo I've ever seen. At E3."
