The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 7 is one of the best episodes of this season so far. A jam-packed episode filled with everything fans needed to see. Well... almost everything.

Despite the episode being filled with comic book moments and good story-telling for each character featured, there are still something that was missing. And that is who gave Daryl the keys to escape his cell.

This is one of the major questions left unanswered when the episode ended. Immediately, theories and speculations started flying online, each fan with their different opinions on who was Daryl's secret helper.

At this point of the show, there are three possible main suspects as to who did it. Here's a rundown on those possible suspects and the clues that fans might've missed from the episode.

Sherry. Sherry, played by the beautiful Christine Evangelista, is the most obvious suspect. Dwight's ex-wife seemed to be drawn to Daryl due to their history. Back in The Walking Dead's sixth season, Daryl helped the couple along with Sherry's sister. In the end, Dwight and Sherry betrayed Daryl, took all of his stuff including his motorcycle and his signature crossbow.

In the episode titled "Sing Me A Song", Sherry's hatred towards Negan is apparent. Throughout the course of the season, Sherry has tried her best to help Daryl in ways she could. She even warned him about the consequences of trying to escape the Sanctuary.

However, that was before Negan pushed Sherry to her limits. This time, Negan is on his way to Alexandria, the perfect time for Sherry to give Daryl his motorcycle keys and escape. The feminine writing on the note is also one more reason to suspect Sherry.

Jesus. Towards the end of the episode, fans saw Jesus on top of Negan's moving cargo truck. Seconds later, the stealthy Hilltop member disappeared. The showrunners made it a point to focus on Daryl looking on top of the truck.

This can only mean one thing: he knows somebody was up there. And that somebody couldn't possibly be one of the Saviors, or else, they wouldn't feel the need to hide. Jesus is one of the fastest characters on the show.

Fans know he can get in and out of places within a few seconds without being seen. He'd done it before on the show and in the comics. Jesus could've easily went in, took Daryl's keys, watch where Dwight took Daryl and gave it to him.

Dwight. Fans of The Walking Dead comic series know that at some point before "All Out War", Dwight will turn heel against Negan and help Rick and co. If this were to happen on the show, then this could potentially be Dwight's start of a rebellion.

In the episode titled "The Cell", Dwight killed Gordon, a runaway worker from the Sanctuary, despite Negan's order to bring him back alive. This was one of the moments where fans can see Dwight rebelling against Negan.

In the same episode, fans can also see as Dwight slowly softens up on Daryl, telling him what to do so he won't get punished. In the most recent episode, Dwight also watched as Negan and Sherry kissed.

This should be enough fuel to despise his boss. Tons of spoilers online suggests that Dwight frees Daryl, tells the latter that he is on their side and to let Rick know that he will help them fight Negan. This will then lead to the mid-season finale next week with Rick planning an attack on Negan.
