There's a new Battlefield 1 update coming this December and it looks like gamers are in for a lot of great new content, an expansive new map and a host of much-needed fixes.

According to a report by Gotta Be Mobile, the Battlefield 1 December update is bringing in a brand new map called Giant's Shadow. Free for the taking, Giant's Shadow takes gamers right into the heart of the Battle of Selle which happened near France's Selle River. In actual history, the Battle of Selle was one of the heaviest battle between the German Army and the Alied forces during the Last Hundred Days of World War I and gamers can experience the heat as the British fight it out with the German Forces.

Not only that, but it looks like the new Battlefield 1 December patch is going to bring with it the highly-anticipated Spectator mode into the game as well. There have been rumors that DICE has been developing a new mode for Battlefield 1 called Spectator, a mode which gives gamers the chance to view the ongoing battles in the game from a different angle. Some are anticipating the Spectator Mode to see release this month along with the new Battlefield 1 December update however if the rumors are wrong and it doesn't come along this December, gamers are hoping to see it early next year.

Details on the Battlefield One patch have also been leaked online on Reddit, with a user going by the name self.battlefield_one revealing that the new Battlefield 1 update's Giants Shadow map would bring with it Behemoth which is again an armored train. The map will be littered with vehicles and boats along the Selle river and it seems like gamers will have to fight through a storm in the battle of Selle.

Aside from new maps and modes, the update has also been reported to bring with it some big fixes to the Battlefield 1 SLI , however it seems like some of the fixes being sent in the patch would require new drivers to work.
