'Legion' Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: A New Trailer Revealed, What We Know So Far!
The new series "Legion" has just revealed its first trailer. Alongside with the trailer, the Marvel-based trailer gets a premiere date. This new trailer that is recently released shows of the storyline of the new TV series. "Legion" is coming to the small screens sometime next year. The trailer may seem to look like that the series is an 'X-Men' spin-off.
The TV series, "Legion" centers towards a troubled young man named David Haller (Dan Stevens). He has been diagnosed with schizophrenia as a child. He also has been in the institution during his younger years. It is reported that "Legion," as seen in the trailer ,is based on the 'X-Men' comics. The show is not of a typical superhero plot. David believes that he is mentally ill when, in fact, his illness is a sign of his being a mutant.
David may be manifesting his mutant powers as the series moves along. "Legion" may be tied to the X-Men but it is differently presented. In being a mutant, David may go on with his life being different and weird in many ways compared to others.
David's character in "Legion" is the son of a woman named Gabrielle Haller and Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X in the X-Men stories. This can explain where David got his mutant powers. He may have gotten it from his biological father.
It has already been presented in the comics that "Legion" has several personalities, which may seem to be his mental illness. He can do mental telepathy and even have more strange powers manifesting from him.
Meanwhile, the trailer's focus is on David's mental illness and how he evolves into this mutant who discovers that these weird manifestations are actually his powers in "Legion." Once the show kicks in there may be more theories coming in on what the plot and storyline may be about. For now, fans can only wait for "Legion" to be aired on February 8, 2017.
