The Boston Red Sox finally found their new eight-inning reliever last Tuesday Morning, the right-handed Tyler Thornburg coming from Milwaukee Brewers. This trade will be one of the most anticipated decisions from both teams.

Thornburg, 28, finished the last season an average 2.5 Earned Run Average, posting to 8 -5 record, 13 saves and with 12 strikeouts in nine innings from 67 appearances. During that time both Koji Uehara and Brad Ziegler shared the same role last season. Last Monday, Dave Dombrowski said the Boston Red Sox desired somebody who can pitch in front of Craig Kimbrel as the reliever with a closing experience.

Aside from Thornburg fitting to what the Boston Red Sox require, he is also low-priced which helps the team to remain below the threshold of luxury-tax. Meanwhile, Thornburg is qualified for negotiation for the first time since he earned at least $513,900. Although at this point until 2019 season, he is under contract with Red Sox.

David Stern the Milwaukee Brewer General Manager said, "We are pleased to add three young and talented players to the organization," pertaining to Travis Shaw, Josh Pennington, and Mauricio Dubon. This is their rebuilding plan for the team believing that the decision they made completes the line-up of a forceful team this season.

The Brewers aimed for good statistics. Dubon is a minor-league infielder and a former 26th rounder that batted .306/.356/.409 for four minor league season. Shaw is an Infielder, also numbered .242/.306/.421 including 16 home run in Boston's 145 games. While Pennington is a minor-league right-hander at age 21 is a 29th rounder that scored 2.29 Earned Run Average with 1.78 K/BB ratio over the last two seasons.

On a related news, The Boston Red Sox also tried to reach out Rich Hill but eventually signed a three-year contract with Los Angeles Dodger. Hill finds himself a little off the hook when the team showed little interest and instead asked him to resign as the reliever.
