Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black vs Apple iPhone 7 Jet Black; Which Will Win The Color WAR? No More Exploding Batteries PLEASE!!
A new report has revealed that South Korean tech giant Samsung will unleash a glossy black Samsung Galaxy S7 that is aimed to take on the Apple iPhone 7. The Glossy Black version of the Galaxy S7 will be unveiled next month and is specifically designed to counter Apple's Jet Black iPhone 7.
"The Investor" reported that Samsung Corp. is pouring new hues into its Galaxy S7 smartphone. This move will fill up sales loss incurred following the discontinuation of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Glossy Black and Onyx Black will be pit against the hot-selling variants of Apple's iPhone 7 - the shiny Jet Black and the Matte Black.
Samsung's color strategy has helped increased the U.S. sales of the nine-month-old Galaxy S7 over the brand-new iPhone 7. The Coral Blue version was launched on November 11 and is selling almost 15,000 units every day, while the iPhone 7's daily unit sales have dropped to about 10,000 units.
According to "Tech Times," Samsung is shifting its focus on its other flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, following the Galaxy Note 7 debacle and subsequent recall. The Coral Blue version of the Galaxy S7 was part of the company's efforts to drum up sales of the Galaxy S7 edge.
In August 2016, Samsung added a Pink Gold color option to its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge lineup as a counter attack to Apple's Rose Gold iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Samsung is reportedly planning to add a Glossy White variant as a response to Apple's rumored impending Jet White iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.
There is no confirmation yet from Samsung if the new Glossy Black Galaxy S7 will be sold beyond the borders of South Korea. But the release of the Blue Corral Galaxy S7 edge in many markets will increase the Glossy Black's chances for launch in more countries including the U.S.
