‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Updates: Will Baby Pokemon Be Introduced And What Would Mewtwo Do To The Game?
The launch of “Pokemon Go” in July 6, 2016 created an entire generation of new gamers. With a mind-blowing number of downloads by about 8.5 percent of the world’s population, this game is easily the most downloaded app in history. Despite many reporting that this game has lost its hype, it is still very active and is not past its prime just four months of being released.
According to The Bit Bag, Niantic, the developer and publisher of the highest grossing game “Pokemon Go”, has been rolling out many updates to keep its users interested. One speculation is that Niantic will replace the egg hatching system with the baby Pokemon system. The baby Pokemon system will allow users to catch baby Pokemons and then evolve them, making egg hatching redundant. There are also talks of Niantic integrating a player versus player battle system into the game where users can battle one another live. This is one of the most requested feature and it will surely change the entire gaming experience of the game.
When the immensely popular mobile game “Pokemon Go” was launched in July 2016, it took the entire world by storm. John Hanke, the CEO of Niantic announced that it has reached over 600 million downloads and is still played in over 100 countries, Kotaku reports. Even Niantic was surprised at the overwhelmingly positive response of people for the game and experienced a few outages. Because of its unprecedented massive scale as a global game, Niantic finds it difficult to deal with policies from different countries, some of which do not welcome the game.
Even since before the launch of “Pokemon Go”, Pokemon fans have been wondering if one of the strongest Pokemon in its universe, Mewtwo, will be in the game. Forbes reports that at the moment, Mewtwo does not exist in game, along with Mew, Ditto and the three legendary birds. Being such a powerful being, it will be very difficult to introduce Mewtwo into the game and still maintain a sense of balance for all participants. Paul Tassi speculates on how bringing in Mewtwo into “Pokemon Go” could potentially break the game and lose its users.
