Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar Collaboration 2016: Listen To New Hit “Don’t Wanna Know”
Everyone should know about Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar's collaboration. This is the first time the band made a single with American songwriter and rapper Lamar.
The song's release is was formally announced by Maroon 5 on their twitter account Wednesday. Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar's song collaboration is titled as "Don't Wanna Know". The instant-hit track is produced by Grammy-award winning record producer Benny Blanco.

According to Billboard, Kendrick Lamar's rap started with the words "no more police stop/No more hashtag boo'd up screenshots/No more tryin' make me jealous on your birthday/You know just how I make you better on your birthday, oh." Rolling Stone added that the rapper does his stint for about 18 seconds, sounding like someone who's obsessing over his feelings for his ex.
Meanwhile, the official music video has not been released yet. It is slated to be available for viewing on NBC's Today on October 14, Friday. Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar's collaboration music video is produced by David Dobkin, the filmmaker who made Maroon 5's hit "Sugar" one of the most-viewed song videos to date.
Even though this is the first time Maroon 5 is linked with rapper Kendrick Lamar, the band's vocalist Adam Levine has already performed on The Lonely Island's YOLO in year 2013. The collaboration will be heard live on "Ellen" come November 3.
On Friday, the song is set to be heard live in a concert held at Porland's Moda Center. This is part of the tour Maroon 5 is doing all around United States, with co-artists James Valentine, PJ Morton, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Matt Flynn. The tour will continue until 2017, E! News reports.
