NBA Trade Rumors, Celtics, Lakers, Thunder Eye Paul George
Many eyes seem to be on Paul George. At least, that's what the buzz in the rumor mill is about. Teams like the LA Lakers, Boston Celtics and Oklahoma Thunder all seem to be keen on trading for the seemingly budding superstar.
The Celtics have had an eye on George for some time now, and may just be willing to part with their picks for a chance at trading for him.
Meanwhile, the Thunder have Andre Roberson and Eres Kanter in mind for a trade with George, likely needing both to have any chance. With Kevin Durant's exit still fresh, the team needs a way to lift both their spirits and performance.
The Lakers seem to have D'Angelo Russell or Brandon Ingram staked for the trade with George, if possible. The purple and gold are in need of a superstar or impact player in the wake of superstar Kobe Bryant's retirement.
However, it remains unclear whether the prospect of either player will be enough to entice the Pacers to part with George, especially given his current performance. They may just have to give up both to even have a chance.
Regardless, this is still just the buzz of the rumor mill, and though they may have an eye on the Pacers' player, there will probably no moves done in that regard. The Pacers are looking too good where they are with the improvement they've made. Any move to jeopardize this is surely the farthest from their minds. Maybe in the future, LA!
All that said, Steven Kyler, a publisher from Basketball Insiders, reports that he was 'laughed of the phone when I asked a Pacer source if it was a consideration.' It seems nothing short of Kevin Durant will sway the Pacers from their own.
Kevin Durant is currently with the Warriors, with many looking to see his chemistry with Stephen Curry in the current season. Of course, fans will want them to get along, but there are those who're wishing they won't do so well to see more movement in the next season. Not to mention the intrigue. If the duo doe well, though, then the Warriors will obviously go far.
