Emma Watson is going to be the next Dr. Who, a time-traveling doctor who will hit the screens by 2018. Excitingly, Emma Watson will replace a male actor, Peter Capaldi, says parentherald

Fans would be excited, as they have been rooting for the beautiful actress to splash the screen in the movie. So far, no movie has been listed after "Beauty and the Beast", which will begin to start filming in the next two months, and then hit the big screen in the coming year.

Even though the cast has not been finalised, fans have been wanting the actress to play the role. It is interesting that though the earlier Dr. Who was a male, it is quite possible for a female to take on the role.

All along, she has been trying to find her own identity, apart from the character, Hermione Granger, that has made her so famous, says mirror

She said: "I started reading Harry Potter when I was 8 - I just really identified with her. I was the girl in school whose hand shot up to answer the questions.

"I was really eager to learn in an uncool way. In a super uncool way, actually...

"It was such a delicate time - I was 10 or 11 when the first movie came out - I was trying to figure out what my own identity was, but I didn't really have one yet.

"At first I was really trying to say, 'I'm not like Hermione. I'm into fashion and I'm much cooler than she is,' and then I came to a place of acceptance."

Earlier, she had reported that she wanted to take a year's break from Hollywood, in order to read a book every week and focus on personal development.
