Prayers poured in from family and friends of former NBA player Lamar Odom. Kobe Bryant, his former Lakers' teammate, rushed to his bedside on hearing of the news, according to HNGN.

Kobe Bryant tweeted "#justpray,"  on Thursday along with another straight message. "When WE feel the need to question the support of others in moments as critical as a life hanging in the balance, then we must question the kind of culture we have created that has led US to such insensitive suspicion," the message read.

Just one day before, Bryant had been slammed by the rapper Master P, who charged that he should have done more to save Odom. "If Kobe was his friend...Kobe, like, owns the Lakers. He could've got the man back on the team," Master P said. "That's all he wanted."

After all, Odom wanted to be back in the game, and the "phony" Bryant could have helped him, feels Master P.

However, on hearing of Odom's hospitalisation, Bryant, who had been playing in a "preseason game" in Las Vegas, according to US Weekly  left the game early after an injury in order to rush to be with his friend.

On Friday, Odom showed some signs of improvement, though he still remained unresponsive. His family and ex-wife Khloe Kardashian gathered around him and continued to hope and pray.
