Taylor Swift News: Songstress Sued By Colorado DJ For Getting Him Fired For Allegedly Touching Her Bottom
A DJ in Colorado just got fired for allegedly suing Taylor Swift's bottom. And now, two years after the lawsuit was filed, he was back to find justice in his case.
David Mueller, a former DJ from Denver, Colorado, who was popularly known as 'Jackson' got fired from his station after Taylor Swift's management charged him for touching the songstress' bottom during a Pepsi Center on June 2, 2013 concert.
In his statement, Mueller said that he was with his girlfriend and co-worker, Shannon Melcher at the event and had posed with Tay at the backstage to take a picture with her as part for a meet-and-greet session.
"The contention that Mr. Mueller lifted up Ms. Swift's skirt and grabbed her bottom, while standing with his girlfriend, in front of Ms. Swift's photographer and Ms. Swift's highly trained security personnel, during a company-sponsored, VIP, backstage meet-and-greet, is nonsense, particularly given that Ms. Swift's skirt is in place and is not being lifted by Mr. Mueller's hand in the photograph," Mueller's lawsuit said as mentioned in Refinery29.
Previously, Swift's team is said to have said that the DJ lifted her "skirt with his hands and grabbed her bottom" which had prompted them to remove Mueller and Melcher from the venue.
Phone calls between the Bad Blood hit maker's management and the radio station had transpired afterwards with the station deciding to fire Mueller, who is earning $150,000 per annum at that time, CNN said.
A photo described as 'damning' is said to have been taken by the singer's management showing the lasciviousness of the act.
"The radio station was given evidence immediately after the incident. They made their independent decision," Swiftie's team told CNN via email.
Mueller, on the other hand, strongly insists that the singer is 'smiling' and 'hugging' his co-worker and di not show any signs of discomfort when the picture was taken and his hand was in the back and therefore cannot be taken as evidence for 'the alleged lifting of her skirt.'
Meanwhile, Mueller pointed out that it is not him but his boss, KYGO Program Director Eddie Haskell, who touched the hit maker's bottom, Gawker said.
