13-year-old Charged With Assault For Kissing Girl On 'Dare', Say Police
One 13-year-old eighth-grader from Maryland never thought that a 'kiss dare' was going to get him into trouble says CBS Baltimore .
He is now facing "assault charges" after kissing a 14-year-old girl when he was given a 'dare'. The kiss was given without the girl's consent, so the officials at the Pikesville Middle School called the authorities Wednesday.
His classmates had 'dared' him to do it. The girl said that he had grabbed her by her shirt near her stomach, pulled her close and kissed her open mouth with his tongue.
"This was determined to be against her will," said the police.
While the boy is being charged with second-degree assault, according to ABC News , he was not taken into police custody, but was released into mother's custody at the school.
Mychael Dickerson, spokesperson for the Baltimore County School System, explains that the child will face appropriate "disciplinary action" for flouting the school's code of conduct.
It is not clear whether or not he would have to get a lawyer or whether there will be legal action against him, according to hngn.
