Food experts duped into believing McDonald's food is 'organic' and 'healthy': VIDEO

Would you be able to tell the difference between McDonald's and organic food? No, neither could these food experts who were pranked by a YouTube channel in the Netherlands.

YouTube pranksters Sacha and Cedrique film foodies' reaction to their supposed 'healthy' meals at the annual food fair in Houten in the Netherlands.

At the event, the duo ask exhibitors and attendees to sample their "new, organic alternative to fast food" from their "high-end restaurant." In reality, they are serving up cut-up pieces of what appears to be McDonald's fare including muffins, burgers and nuggets.

They asked the gastronomic experts to taste samples of McDonald's food and offer their opinions on this "new, organic alternative to fast food".

"Delicious", "fresh", "tasty" and "firm" are just some of the adjective used by the food critics in a video posted on YouTube.

"It's nice and firm, it has a good bite," says one.

"Tastes like fish, reminds me of cod, rolls around the tongue nicely, if it were wine I'd say it's fine" says one man after sampling some Fillet-0-Fish.

"It rolls around the tongue nicely; if it were wine I'd say it's fine," adds another one.

These foodies may have been duped for a reason. Research has found that when you tell people that what they are eating or drinking is a high-end product, they won't just say that it tastes better than a cheaper product - their brains will actually experience it as better.

Summing up their findings at the end of the video, Cedrique says: "If you tell people that something is organic, they'll automatically believe it's organic!"
