New software updates, iOS 9 and OS X 10.11, from Apple will be all about "focusing on quality," according to a recent report. The iOS 9 will also focus on improving support for older devices including the ones that aren't even on sale.

According to a report from 9to5Mac, the iOS 9 will feature a new optimization method to better support older hardware, i.e., iPad Mini and iPhone 4S.

In February this year it was reported that iOS 9, codenamed "Monarch" would heavily feature under-the-hood optimizations.

The report, citing people familiar with the matter, noted that Apple engineers have been pushing executives for a Snow Leopard-style stability focus in 2015, following numerous bugs that clouded the launches of both iOS and OS X.

Rootless Security

Among other new features, the new operating systems would include new security system called Rootless. Internally, it's being described as a "huge," kernel-level feature for both OS X and iOS. The new Rootless security will prevent even administrative-level users from being able to access certain protected files on Apple devices. According to sources, it will be a heavy blow to the jailbreak community on iOS, however it can be disabled on OS X.

We're going to find out everything on June 8 when Apple will most likely reveal the first official details about iOS 9 at it's WWDC keynote.
