Xiaomi Launches New Phone With Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC, 2GB RAM, For Just $200

Xiaomi today unleashed its first phone outside China, packing a gamut of high-end features for just $200.

The new smartphone, Mi 4i, was unveiled at an event in New Delhi, India and will be available from April 20.

In terms of features, the device packs a five-inch, 1080p display and the same (impressive) 13-megapixel rear-facing camera within its Mi Note phablet, composed of a five-element lens. The front facing camera is 5 mp. It also has a pixel density of 441ppi, and a Sunlight Display feature that optimizes the display under bright light.

Mi 4i runs MIUI 6, based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and supports 6 Indian languages. The smartphone is packed by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor coupled an Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It bears a 3120mAh battery, and comes with a quick charge feature that charges the battery up to 40 percent in 1 hour, and 100 percent in 3 hours.
