iPad Pro also known as "iPad 5" or "iPad Plus" online is definitely in works, a new report from Bloomberg has confirmed. However, due to supply issues, release date of the 12.9-inch tablet will be delayed.

Production of the 12.9-inch-screen iPad is now scheduled to start around September because of delays involving the supply of display panels, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the details aren't public. Apple had initially planned to begin making the larger version this quarter, people familiar those plans had said, Bloomberg noted in the report

The new bigger iPad is a part of Apple's effort to reinvigorate the iPad product line where sales have declined for four straight quarters.

The current available models of iPad's screen measure 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch. Though Apple has not confirmed about the bigger iPad yet.

Apple's iPad sales have also been affected by the new larger iPhones which has helped it enjoy an outstanding profit last quarter.

"A larger iPad could also bolster Cook's initiative to make Apple's products more appealing to business users. Apple announced a partnership last year with International Business Machines Corp. to create mobile software for businesses and for IBM to help sell iPads to corporate customers," Bloomberg added in the report
