Microsoft’s calendar and organizer app, Sunrise, will be shutting down on August 31 despite its growing popularity among calendar-conscious users. The plan comes at a time when the software giant wants to integrate all of its calendar-related apps and services under its Outlook app.
Microsoft is reportedly working on a new iPhone-only email app, called Flow. The app is designed to let users experience "rapid email conversations on your phone with the people who are important to you."
The release of a new Outlook app for iOS and Android has managed to win some accolades for Microsoft. According to some, this could be a sign Microsoft mobile strategy is finally getting on track, while some believe it's the best pick for reading Gmail on an iPhone.
Microsoft is launching Outlook for iOS and Android phones and tablets. It had acquired an email startup Acompli last year. The new Outlook app, which almost looks identical to Acompli, is available for free in the respective stores.
