Two Zelda fans created a free demo 3D remake of the original game titled ‘Zelda 30 Year Tribute’ to commemorate the game’s 30th anniversary. But Nintendo quickly moved to get the game shut down citing copyright infringement.
Good news for the fans, “The Legend of Zelda Wii U” is likely to come out in 2016 as producer, Eiji Aonuma, recently teased in his conversation with a Japanese magazine that the game is in its final stages.
A modern Wii U revival of Nintendo classic ‘Legend of Zelda’ is reportedly slated for release in the second half of this year when the company makes a big announcement at E3 2016 event. Meanwhile, Analogue, a retro custom console designer, has just created special limited edition of the vintage Nintendo console fitted with 24-karat gold and comes with a copy of the original Zelda game in cartridge.
Nintendo exec confirmed this year’s release of the iconic ‘Legend of Zelda’ revival on Wii platform despite repeated delays since the 2014 announcement. Meanwhile, producer Eiji Aonuma recently said that the game is ‘progressing well’ as he works on the in-game text.
Legend of Zelda Wii U has been tantalizing fans with news in little bits and pieces. But this new piece of information will surely make fans want for more.
Nintendo remains tight-lipped on The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past release date as rumors predict a Wii U and NX crossover platform release at E3 2016 in June. Meanwhile, this year may be Wii U’s last year of production as Nintendo terminates the production of the flagship console in favor of its new gaming platform NX due to dismal sale performance.
Legend of Zelda series producer and director Eiji Aonuma hinted on a possible western influence to the Nintendo game in an effort to shake up the series. Aonuma likened it to a change from ‘Japanese food to Western-style food’.
Legend of Zelda for Wii U won't be releasing this year. In fact the game won't even make a showing at the E3 game expo in June.
The release of Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D is expected to take place on Friday.
