Apple has just revealed in a recently published corporate Environmental Responsibility Report that it’s able to make money off from its take-back initiative and recycling program. The report indicated that it was able to extract as much as $40 million worth of gold mined from thrown-away gadgets.
It's an accepted trend that after every subsequent iOS update, older iPhones and iPads will get slower. However, this is going to change with iOS 9, as the new version of Apple's mobile operating system is aimed at improving performance and stability, especially on older iOS devices.
Apple is reportedly planning a "special event" on October 16 with major plans of launching new iPads along with updates to its iMac line.
