Apple has quietly removed the original iPad mini from its online store today, according to reports. The first-gen iPad was released in 2012.
It is being speculated that the iPad Mini 4 would be released sometime between April to July this year. Since the iPad Mini 3 came out with minor updates over iPad Mini 2, a next version of iPad Mini is highly anticipated. Rumors also suggest that the iPad Mini 4 might be launched alongside the rumored Apple iPad Pro.
According to rumors, Apple's massive tablet - iPad Pro (or iPad Plus for some) - is expected to be released in Q2 of 2015 or as early as April. The big-screen tablet launch might accompany with the iPad Mini 4.
iPad Mini 3 is a decent tablet but was kind of a disappointment. It was upgraded only with a fingerprint sensor and the gold color option, which gives us enough reason to get excited about the iPad Mini 4.
Shadow boxing full on between yet to be released Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Apple iPad Air 3.
After the original iPad Mini was released, not everything was well received among users, i.e, non-retina display, less powerful CPU etc. However, in the second version iPad Mini got 64-bit CPU and a retina display.
