Fast and Furious 7's 'splashy' premiere at the luxurious Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi is reported to be cancelled as the slated premiere dates coincides with expected birth date of Vin Diesel's third child with long-term girlfriend Paloma Jimenez.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, baby number # 3 is expected to be born between March 10 and April 3. The latter is said to be the date when Fast and Furious will have its first showing in theaters.

"He wants to be with his family at the birth; it's a beautiful thing. What human being wouldn't?" a source told the news outlet.

Universal then agreed to cancel the Abu Dhabi premiere considering that the 47-year old actor plays a big role in the movie being the lead actor and one of its producers. The Emirates Palace is a strategic place for a premiere as this is one of the shooting locations included in the movie.

It is then reported that Furious will have its premiere in Los Angeles on April 1.

As one source said, "Universal is happy to premiere the film in L.A., birthplace of the franchise, where a core fan base exists."

Vin Diesel is said to have earned $2.3bn (£1.5bn) for his past participation in four out of six films in the Furious series. The figure s said to be the franchise' s biggest selling point, The Guardian said. Diesel's appearance in the premiere is considered a key point with the absence of the late Paul Walker who met an accident in November 2013.

Since Walker's death, Fast and Furious 7's release date has been delayed for a long time. Previous reports said that Paul Walker's brothers Caleb and Cody acted as a double in some scenes.

E! Online recalls that Paul Walker's co-cast has been mourning over his death. Vin Diesel once shared a very personal photo of Walker holding Vin's daughter, Hania. The photo was shown when they commemorated Walker's death anniversary.

"He took a certain pride in being uncle Pablo... After all, we were filming a scene in FF4 the day she was born, and he being the only one I told, encouraged me to go in and cut the umbilical cord," the 47-year old actor posted on Facebook.

Fast and Furious 7 is directed by James Wan. Stars who have been reprised for their roles include Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Lucas Black. Jason Statham will also be returning as a villain.
