Moto E 2015 Review Round Up: Design Remains The Best Thing About This Phone
Motorola announced the second version of its extremely affordable smartphone Moto E yesterday and the first round of initial impressions have already started turning up. According to reviewers, the Moto E's design remains the best thing about the phone.
As PC World notes, the Moto E's specification doesn't stand out from the competition even with LTE and a faster processor but its the design that makes it a better alternative for consumers looking for their first smartphone.
"Straight out of the box, the new Moto E is definitely more attractive - I like how the smooth curve hides the thickness of the phone and helps it sit comfortably in my palm," writes Trusted Review in its first impressions of the phone.
The Moto E is powered by a 2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor from Qualcomm and has a 4.5-inch, 540 x 960-pixel screen, however, its performance doesn't impress.
According to Trusted Reviews, users who are looking to buy their first smartphone, Moto E could be one of the most affordable ways to experience some of the more advanced Android features.
"The features it offers wouldn't look out of place on a pricier mid-range handset, and makes the likes of the Lumia 535 look poor value," the review adds.
According to KnowYourMobile, if price is your primary concern, Moto E is the best value for money phone. "Despite this, the Moto E remains an impressive phone that puts rival low-cost smartphones well and truly in the shade. If you're in the market for a device and price is your primary concern, then it makes sense to save the additional pennies and pick this over the Moto G, but if you can stretch the cost then Motorola's 2013 offering is a cannier purchase," the review adds.
