Apple iOS 8.3 Update: Siri Learns to Understand 7 More Languages

The latest developer beta for iOS 8.3 includes support for seven more languages with Siri, reports Mashable. The languages are Russian, Danish, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish, Thai, Swedish and English for India.

Since the update was only pushed for beta testers, regular users won't be able to access the language settings just yet. The update, that would be a part of iOS 8.3, is scheduled to release later this spring.

However, according to reports, Apple is planning to release the public beta prior so interested users can get to play with the language setting sooner than the actual release. The language settings in Siri can be changed by accessing the Siri settings panel on iPhone and iPad, Mashable noted.

Apple has also brought some diversity among the emoji in the latest release for beta software.

Debuted four years ago, Siri is currently capable of comprehending languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese, French, German, Spanish, Korean, Italian Japanese, as well as American, UK and Australian English, and more.
