The much talked about Destiny 1.1.1 update is on its way and it will do away with solo Weekly Heroic Strikes.

According to Inquisitr new update will feature a heavy ammo bug fix, updates to Xur, Agent of the Nine. Bungie has also included matchmaking in Weekly Heroics Strikes but players cannot do a solo after the update.

"We wanted the Weekly Heroics to be a challenge that pushed you and your buddies, but what we observed was that these strikes don't demand the same cooperation of a cohesive pre-made group. The overwhelming community response was such that many players didn't have the numbers on their friends list to experience the activity on a weekly basis," Design Lead M.E. Chung said on Bungie's website.

The update will not affect Nightfall Strikes however though Bungie received demands for introducing matchmaking.

New update will also allow players to see reputation in-game. Some other updates hinted at include a greater variety of maps in Iron Banner and new bounties.

"Strikes and Crucible Maps will be less likely to repeat themselves when you stay in a matchmaking playlist with your Fireteam...Grimoire Cards will drop when you expect them to," community manager David Deej said.

Meanwhile in related Destiny News, mother of a 11-year old is making all efforts to restore her son's progress in the game. She has reached out to Bungie and others in the community for help. Gameinformer has more on that.
