Final Fantasy XV Release Date: Tabata Confirms March 17 Launch of Episode Duscae Demo
New details have emerged regarding the latest Square Enix's game, Final Fantasy XV. The video game director, Hajime Tabata revealed quite a lot about the game during a live video presentation.
"We're now at 60 percent," Tabata said in reference to how far along the game is. The game is being produced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. He added that it should not take too much time for the game to reach 80 percent completion. The final 20 percent will "fall into place in a relatively smooth and timely fashion," according to GameSpot.
Although no release date has been announced yet, fans got a sneak peak into the game during the presentation. Tabata released a 45-minute long gameplay video of Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae demo. The demo, which will be launched on March 17, will reportedly not run in full 1080p/30fps on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, 1080p/30fps will be the target resolution when the game is finalized. The demo will only be available to be played on those two consoles for people who buy Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
"We're never going to release it as a standalone piece down the line," Square Enix product marketing manager Scott Strichart had said back in December.
Tabata also informed players that the map for the final game will be about 10 to 20 times larger than the map in the demo. The demo will not have any weather effects that the final fame will have and it.
