Kendrick Lamar Album Update: Rumored to Drop Between 2015 ESSENCE, Sasquatch!, UK Wireless Festivals

Kendrick Lamar will be quite busy in July.

The lineup for the three-day 2015 Essence Festival was released on Wednesday and Lamar was one of the many artists listed.

The festival, which takes place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, opens on July 2. Comedian Kevin Hart will headline the opening "Now Playing" concert. More performers will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Essence announced:

"Also confirmed to perform at the 2015 ESSENCE Festival nighttime concerts at the Superdome include Erykah Badu, India.Arie, Common, Floetry, Kelly Price, Lianne La Havas, Elle Varner, Esperanza Spalding, Raheem DeVaughn, Mali Music, Eric Roberson, Teedra Moses, Avery*Sunshine, Bilal, Goapele, Robert Glasper, Trombone Shorty, Kool Moe Dee, Doug E. Fresh, Mystikal, Slick Rick, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Nico &Vinz, SZA, Dee-1, Tonya Bond Cannon, Leon Bridges, Andra Day, Kindred The Family Soul, Tweet, Jeff Bradshaw and Tank & The Bangas."

Last month, it was announced that Lamar would be headed to the UK Wireless Festival where he will co-headline with Avicii on July 4. It is unclear which festival Lamar will perform at first.

Before these two festivals, Lamar will perform at the 2015 Sasquatch! Festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Washington. The festival takes place over Memorial Day Weekend.

It is unclear whether or not Lamar will release his highly anticipated album before or after these festivals. There is still no album release date, album cover or album title yet. Lamar, however, did drop a new single after the Grammys titled "The Blacker the Berry."
