Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Update: Star Couple Adopts New Child
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are said to welcome another member in their growing family. The adoption of the two-year-old boy from Syria named "Moussa" has been secretly negotiated for months now but the power couple has finally decided to adopt the boy, Woman's Day said.
Moussa is said to be living in one of the Altinozu refugee camp in Turkey. The news source said that the Tomb Raider star met the cute one in the camp while she is doing her role as the United Nations ambassador for refugees and displaced people.
"Angelina heard about him from a translator and she was obviously upset, but Moussa was just beaming from ear to ear and when he saw she was wiping tears from her eyes he toddled up to her and gave her a hug and it was a very emotional moment and everyone was suddenly laughing and smiling. She kissed him on the top of his head and then they were basically inseparable for the rest of the visit," a charity worker told the media outlet.
If Brad and Angie will pursue the adoption proceedings, Moussa will be the seventh kid in their growing family, Hollywood Life said.
The couple previously adopted Maddox, 13, a Cambodian-born boy, Pax, 11, from Vietnam and Zahara, 9, from Ethiopia aside from their three biological children.
Last month, the 39-year old actress and humanitarian expressed her sympathy towards displaced Iraqi and Syrian refugees in Islamic States in an essay published in The New York Times.
In the essay entitled "A New Level of Refugee Suffering", Angie said, "I have visited Iraq five times since 2007, and I have seen nothing like the suffering I'm witnessing now. For many years I have visited camps, and every time, I sit in a tent and hear stories. I try my best to give support. To say something that will show solidarity and give some kind of thoughtful guidance. On this trip I was speechless."
