Scarlett Johansson, the "Avengers" actress, welcomed a healthy baby girl Thursday with her fiancé Romain Dauriac. The proud parents have named the baby "Rose."

A representative of Johansson confirmed the news of the birth with the Associated Press saying the mother and daughter are doing well. The representative also added that the couple are seeking privacy and are strong supporters of the "No Kids Policy," a move to keep the celebrities' children off the public eye.

Johansson's pregnancy news came in March, just six months after she got engaged to Dauriac - a French journalist. Johansson was seen flashing an art deco ring on the ring finger at the Venice Film Festival. At that time a representative of the "Her" actress confirmed the news adding that the couple was "very happy," E!Online reports.

Johansson and Dauriac went public with their relationship in November 2012, a while after the "Lucy" actress divorced "Green Lantern" Ryan Reynolds, who in turn went on to marry "Gossip Girl" actress Blake Liveley.

"It is [easier to be with someone who isn't famous], but it's more than that," Johansson said about her relationship with Dauriac in an earlier interview, according to The Daily Mail.

"We do different things. He's in the whole art-scene world. So it's nice, because we can enjoy each other's worlds, but we don't have our crazy conflicting schedules and all that other stuff to contend with," she added.

Johansson and Reynolds split after almost three years of marriage.

This is the first child for both Johansson and Dauriac. Just before news of her pregnancy broke, Johansson said that she was keen on starting a family.

"I would like to have my own family, that would be nice," she was quoted by The Daily Mail.

"They say it's never the right time and I am sure that's true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else. At some point it is something I look forward to," she added.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
