Report: Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon Never Married

Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of the late Whitney Houston, is still fighting for her life. In the midst of this tragedy, Bobbi Kristina's relationship with Nick Gordon has been clarified. According to the lawyers of R&B singer and Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, the couple was never officially married.

"We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina," Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC told ABC News. "To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon."

In 2013, Bobbi Kristina announced her marriage to Gordon with a Twitter picture of her hand resting on top of Gordon's. Both hands had rings on the wedding finger. A representative of the family confirmed the union in January 2014.

On Monday, a family statement reported that Bobbi Kristina is "fighting for her life." The 21-year-old was found face down in a filled tub in her Roswell, Georgia home on Saturday by Gordon and a friend. Bobbi Kristina was rushed to North Fulton Hospital where she was placed in a medically induced coma. Several media outlets reported that Bobbi Kristina has been moved to Emory Hospital in Atlanta.

"We continue to request privacy in this matter," a new statement from Bobby Brown read. "Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time."

The investigation into Bobbi Kristina's incident is ongoing. US Weekly reported that Bobbi Kristina and Gordon had argued the week before the incident occurred. The magazine claimed that Gordon had moved out of her home. Us also cited sources stating that the fight with Gordon mixed with the anniversary of Houston's death was overwhelming for Bobbi Kristina.

Houston, who found unresponsive in a filled hotel bathtub in 2012, left her entire estate to Bobbi Kristina.
