'Primates' Are On The Brink Of Extinction According To A Research
There are reports that more than half of the population of the "primate" species are on the brink of extinction. This has been a research done by 31 international research scientists.
A report indicates that the reason for these primates to be extinct in the future is the loss of habitat, hunting and some other factors. This report states that 75 percent of the primate species are in decline recently.
The primates dominate in number from other mammals. These are slowly gone in some countries because of deforestation. They lose their habitats because of hunting and are being sold or are placed in zoos. Some hunters also sell the primate's body parts for medicine or any other use.
There are also newly discovered primates that are found recently. They are easier to find these days since the deforestation has made their location easier to track down. There are also other discoveries of scientists for unique primates based on DNA testing.
It has been found that there are significant primate species on Earth living for a long time. They have only been discovered lately because of DNA. These are special ones and they also need to be conserved so to prevent the primates from being extinct.
Meanwhile, Jo Setchell, Professor from Durham University shares in a report that the loss of habitat is mostly caused by hunting. The loss of habitat for these primates may also lead to the decline of its population.
This situation of "primates" need attention so their species to be conserved. They are in decline and as early as now they need to be saved. The species have been on Earth for several years and there are new primate species that are being mutated these days.
Other threats that lead to the "primate's" decline in number are mostly coming from human behavior. These may be cause by clearing of the forest in order to be replaced by cattle ranching and livestock.
