Xbox One Backward Compatibility has added new lists of games. Xbox One players have a variety of choices to enjoy hundreds of games from previous generation consoles like the Xbox 360. Xbox One is the best spot to play Xbox 360 games.

There are six games which are recently been added to the Backward Compatibility roster. These games are the play action 'Bully: Scholarship Edition' from Rockstar Games, the strategic games 'Skydive' and 'Planets Under Attack' from Top Ware Interactive, the puzzle-based game 'Catherine' which developed by Atlus, and 'Raskulls' which released by Microsoft Studios. 'CLANNAD' is a VisualArts which is also added, however, it is only available in Japan.

The Xbox One Backward Compatibility dashboard was first unveiled in November 2015. It has become one of the most widely held features of Microsoft's home video game console. Xbox One is primarily designed for playing games, however, it is more than a game console which provides an entertainment hub for games, television, music and videos.

The backward compatibility with supported Xbox 360 games became eligible Xbox Preview program users with a beta update to the Xbox One system software. Currently, there are 309 Xbox 360 games which are playable on Xbox One. The Xbox division head Phil Spencer confirmed nearly 50 percent of all Xbox One users are playing backward-compatible games.

During the E3 2016 press conference, Microsoft announced an upcoming next-generation console and a hardware refresh for Xbox One codename 'Project Scorpio' and it will be scheduled to be released in late 2017. The Xbox One Backward Compatibility squad takes certain time off for holidays, so more games will be added to the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list at the start of next year. As a Christmas treat, the Xbox Live director of programming, Larry Hryb, confirmed that the 'Lost Odyssey' will be free to download until December 31.
