The Walking Dead's Sonequa Martin-Green To Lead In Star Trek: Discovery

The Walking Dead's star Sonequa Martin-Green is set to play the role of a protagonist Lieutenant Commander for 2017 TV series Star Trek 'Discovery'.  CBS confirms that the American actress and producer will probably end her stint with The Walking Dead after three seasons. 

Sonequa 'Sasha Williams', born in Russel Ville Alabama has snagged to play a lead role for Star Trek new TV series for 2017. This probably is a sign that Sasha, the role Sonequa plays in the popular AMC series will be killed soon. 

 The main cast of Star Trek: Discovery include (Doug Jones) Pans Labyrinth as Lt. Saru and (Anthony Rapp) Rent as Lt. Statements.  Captain Georgiou played by Michelle Yeoh as commander of Starfleet vessel.  The warlike humanoid alien 'Klingon' characters will be played by Julliard (Mary Chieffo), Shazad Latif (Penny Dreadful) and Chris Obi the upcoming star of the series American gods which are also Bryan Fuller new creation.

CBS unveiled the first teaser for its show Star Trek: 'Discovery 2017' during the Comic-Con International in San Diego, California.  Executive producer Bryan Fuller Hannibal, Aaron Harberts Pushing Daisies and Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman will also be part of this production. Star Trek fans are speculating how exactly the television series will be displayed into framework after a blockbuster sci-fi franchise as it subsists now.

According to ComingSoon.net, the new Star trek TV series will take place a decade before the original Star Trek and approximately 100 years after Earth's first contact with the Klingon species. During this time, the federation and the Klingon empire are in an uneasy cold war.

Star Trek:  'Raumschiff Discovery 'will premiere on CBS Television Network and is slated for January release but the network has pushed it to May 2017. With over 13 episodes, this lends itself to an escalating binge-watching habit for the modern television aficionado.  It was revealed that each episode of the TV series will be accessible globally within 24 hours of its U.S. premiere, presented by NETFLIX in almost 188 countries and throughout Bell Media platforms in Canada.
