Overwatch teams that were able to successfully compete against each other during the MLG Vegas Invitational Overwatch Tournmant were Group A for Fnatic vs. Rise Nation , and Group B for NRG Esports vs. Cloud9 , plus FaZe Clan vs. Team Liquid. Because of issues with their visas or passports, the Group A match between compLexity and Team EnVyUS. has been moved to today, Dec. 17 at 10:30 AM PST together with the second round of matches for the entire Overwatch Tournament.
On Sunday, Dec. 18 gamers will get to see the semifinals and the grand final round of the MLG Vegas Invitational starting at 11:00 AM PST.
In other Overwatch news, game director Jeff Kaplan has finally responded to gamers complaints regarding the Assault maps in the game saying that the development team has been having multiple discussions about the mode during the week.
"One of the problems we're interested in solving is lowering the rate that draws occur in Assault. The worst offender is Hanamura. On a bad week, the map can draw as much as 18% of the time. To put the number in perspective, Control maps draw 0%, Payloads draw 0% and Hybrids draw on average 5.75% of the time," Kaplan wrote.
The team is now looking at a few ideas to minimize the draws on the Assault map and is taking a gander at a few other problems on Overwatch as well. A new Overwatch update patch bringing improvements on the game and on the Assault map just might make its way to the game soon.
