Samsung Galaxy S8 is speculated to be the first highly anticipated device to have the latest 5.0 Bluetooth standard. Samsung may offer two sizes of devices in the form of Galaxy S8. These devices may have a dual edge with encompassing curved panel.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Follow-On Might Play As A Host

It is speculated that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be similar to Galaxy S7 with a revamped camera, an innovative new screen with heavy design and the usual power boosts Trusted Reviews reports. Samsung is using dual-edge so as to distinguish its design. In fact, there is no efficiency perspective. Samsung was the member when Bluetooth Special Interest group certified the Bluetooth 5.0 standard. It is believed that the first Samsung device to use this standard might arrive within few months.

The new standard has four times bigger range, eight times more broadcast message capacity, and twice faster speed, As the Galaxy S8 is likely to be released in February next year it seems that this device will definitely make use of BT 5.0. GSM Arena reports

No High Demand For Dual Edge Screens

There is less demand for dual-edge screens as users still find these screens inconvenient as they mistakenly touch the sides of the Smartphones. A lead electronic analyst believes that there is less consumer appetite for curved screen devices. In fact, the bezel-less display is more relevant to televisions as compared to the Smartphones.

It has been noticed in the recent years that Samsung has offered both curved and flat screen variants but the headlines have been grabbed by the Edge Smartphones.

The Galaxy S8 is to be released during the MWC in February but nothing is confirmed by Samsung regarding this Smartphone.
