‘Attack On Titan’ Latest Update: See Chapter 88 Recap Here; Eren Only Has Eight Years To Live

"Attack on Titan" Chapter 88 shed the light on how Grisha Yeager will acquire his Titan powers. It was also revealed that the powers of Titans limit their lifespans. Below is a quick recap of "AOT" Chapter 88.

Chapter 88 of "Attack on Titan" manga is filled with revelations about Grisha's Titan power. Apparently, Eren Kruger, also known as Night Owl, holds the power of the "Attacker Titan." Kruger explained that each of the nine Titans have unique names and abilities and what he had was a power that aims to fight for and pursue freedom.

The Night Owl also discussed how he was able to infiltrate the Marley Government without being detected as a Titan. He was helped by a doctor who had enough knowledge on Titan blood. Kruger also admitted why he let the Marleyan soldier to inject Dina Fritz with Titan blood and only left Grisha to live.

Grisha, of course, was thankful to the Night Owl for saving his life but was als devastated to see his wife turn into Titan. As per Kruger, it's better that Dina become a Titan than become hostage of the Marleys. That's because if they found out that she is of royal blood, she will be forced to bear multiple children with Titan powers for the Marleys.

And for the most important revelation on "Attack on Titan" Chapter 88, Eren Yeager, Grisha's son, only has about eight years to live. Eren accessed his father's memory and found out from Kruger that Ymir only had 13 years of life after obtaining the Titan power. No other Titan was able to surpass that span of life.

It was also revealed that if Titan powers are not passed to another person before the host dies, it will automatically flow to the blood of another royal Eldian randomly, no matter the distance and relationship. For this reason, Kruger had to transfer his powers to Grisha as his 13 years is almost over. He apparently chose Grisha to fulfill his mission as they both share the same fate, both lost their families and what they are left to do is fight for their Eldian people.

"Attack on Titan" Chapter 88 ended with Grisha having second thoughts on accepting the "Attacker Titan" power. The plot of "AOT" is getting exciting every month with continuous revelations about the mysteries and history of Titan powers. The next chapter of "Attack on Titan" manga is expected to be released in 2017.
