Pokemon Go Guide To Hatching The New Gen II Pokemon Babies And Gen II Evolution

Earlier this week, Niantic and the Pokemon Company released an exciting new Pokemon Go update that brought with it seven new baby Gen II Pokemon. To get the baby Pokemon however, gamers have to hatch a few eggs first. Here are a few tips gamers can use to get the new Pokemon from Pokemon Go.

According to a report by Kotaku, hatching the special baby Gen II Pokemon is the same as hatching any other egg. First, gamers have to go down to a PokeStop to chance on egg first along with potions and Pokeballs. Then use an incubator and get a few spares at a Pokemon Go shop to incubate eggs at the same time. Once gamers have started putting the eggs in the incubators, they start walking.

The new gen II Pokemon babies, Pichu, Smoochum, Magby, Elekid, Togepi, Cleff and Igglybuff all have different hatching rates for gamers to follow. 2k eggs result in Cleffa and Igglybuff while Togepi and Pichu come out of 5k eggs. The baby Pokemon that take more time to hatch are Elekid, Smoochum and Magby; Pokemon which all come out of 10k eggs.

While it seems like a pretty standard Pokemon Go procedure, it seems like there are still plenty of chances that gamers would get regular Pokemon from hatching eggs. Gamers still have to rely on good luck to get the Gen II babies.

What's interesting though is that after giving Togepi 50 candies, the baby evolves right into Gen II Togetic. Will other Pokemon be able to evolve? Gamers will have to see.

Meanwhile, in other Pokemon Go news, it looks like not everyone is happy with the new Pokemon Go update. Reports have been coming around saying that gamers have been expressing frustration over the new update saying that they didn't want babies, they wanted new Pokemon in the wild. A lot of gamers also seemed to be hoping for P2P battles as well as trading, however, none of those features came out with the update.
