Uber is the smartest way to get a car. One tap and the driver know exactly where to get the passenger around. The Uber experiences are truly great behind the wheel especially this season that the company is jumping on the Star Wars hype car. The company announced the partnership with Disney to bring Rouge One: A Star Wars Story to a ride-sharing app.

It made a road-worthy experience as a starfighter as it is a brand activation using a new Star Wars card on the Uber app and cars map will twirl into Rebellion spaceships. Uber is already testing the spaceships concept for Star Wars fans. The boring cars on the Uber map screen are transformed into speeding X-wings.

Once the passenger will opt into the features, the Rogue One card appears on the bottom of the screen. Once activated, it will turn into an iconic-A Star Wars content. The feature will be available and run from December 12 to December 18.

This new promotion will have a video content from Rogue One built into the app. This will be accessed ones the feature is activated. The passengers will enjoy the ride and unlock the never-before-seen content which is only exclusive to the app. No hints yet about the exclusive content, however, it will be probably behind the scenes and filmmaking clips.

"This innovative app experience is the result of Disney and Uber working together to give fans a special way to connect with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," Asad Ayaz, Walt Disney Studios executive vice president of marketing said. Rogue One is the most anticipated movies of the year. This will be the brilliant way for Disney to get some last minute promotion for the film.

The film is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Diego Luna, Donnie Ye, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will rock the theaters on December 16. Share your thoughts below!
