NBA News: Will Sacramento Kings & Los Angeles Lakers Enter A 4-Team Deal Ever DeMarcus Cousins?

Both of them are separated by just one rank at the moment with Sacramento Kings being the better off. And that could be a reason enough for the Kings and Los Angeles Lakers engaging in a four-side trade before the deadline.

According to the latest buzz around the NBA trade rumors, the Kings and the Lakers might enter a quadrilateral deal with the Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards being the other two sides. Neither the 76ers nor the Wizards are in any better positions in the Western Conference.

If rumors are to be believed, the Kings might part with power forward DeMarcus Cousins and receive the Lakers' Brendon Ingram and Jose Calderon, small forward and point guard, respectively.

As per reports, the Kings are planning to work on their roster afresh and might trade the star Cousins well before the deadline. The Kings' poor show (9-15) this season so far could mean that a separation would be the best way forward. Cousins himself, however, doesn't think the Kings will trade him anytime soon.

On the other hand, bringing in Ingram and Calderon could do to the Kings' offense and defense just what the doctor had ordered. Those two players will also bring to the Kings a perfect combination and youth and experience and boost the chances of Dave Joerger's boys.

The Lakers, on the other hand, had a great start to this season with a young team. However, Luke Walton's boys went downhill ever since they were beaten convincingly by the Golden State Warriors in back-to-back games last month. The Lakers have gone on to lose eight of their next 10 games and have slipped to the 10th position in Western Conference with a 10-17 record. The fall has perhaps necessitated a trade imminent for them as well.

As per the trade rumors, the Lakers could also get the Wizards' point guard John Wall besides Cousins to sharpen their shooting ad defensive skills and kick-start their campaign midway in the league.
