Supercell has announced that it is planning to expand Clash of Clans" into other areas such as merchandise, eSports, and animation. The Finnish game developer wants to extend the experience for players and give back to them by finding a way to expand the game's universe in a non-game way.

This development for "Clash of Clans" is part of Supercell's plan to pursue the future in an unorthodox fashion. Chief executive and co-founder Ilkka Paananen reiterated that the company will remain focused on celebrating creativity rather than profits, which defines its corporate culture.

He insisted that Supercell does not aim to diversify its revenue base. He Paananen credited "Clash of Clans" players for everything the company had achieved. One of the merchandising initiatives planned is a figurine store to be launched in 2017.

Meanwhile, "Clash of Clans'" Christmas update will reportedly fall between December 19 and 23. The upcoming update will have several features but only the addition of Shipwreck has been confirmed. Other rumored features include the Red Barbarian King, new troops, and virtual reality content.

Supercell hopes that the December update will enable it to regain the leadership from Pokemon GO as the number one mobile game for Android and iOS devices. The Nintendo title continues its domination of the mobile gaming industry, raking more profits than COC. This update will make or break the future of "Clash of Clans" which has been struggling to survive the onslaught caused by the Pokemon monsters.

In another "Clash of Clans" development, the first two episodes of the cartoon series "Clash-A-Rama" are now available on YouTube. The animated series is inspired by "Clash of Clans" and "Clash Royale". According to reports, both episodes have sketch comedy structure. The first episode is titled "University of Goblin" while the second episode is "Giant vs. Giant Problem".

The first episode of "Clash-A-Ram" can be viewed on the video below. Share your thoughts in the comment section!
