Apple recently released the iOS 10.2 update for the iPhone and iPad. New emojis were introduced, as well as bug fixes and app upgrades. Read on below to get the full details.

Users now have access to 72 new emojis after the iOS 10.2 update released on Monday, CNET reported. The new batch of emojis include new professions (e.g. teacher, scientist, and firefighter) for both men and women, a face palm, a duck, a fox, and more food images such as the avocado. Aside from these, there are "fingers crossed" emojis, a pregnant woman, and a face with a nose resembling Pinocchio's, Time.com listed.

Aside from the emojis, the iOS 10.2 update introduced three new wallpapers on the background and lock screen for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The wallpapers appear as water droplets in pink, blue, and yellow colors. They move with the device when the "perspective" option was selected.

Apple's iOS 10.2 update brought forth the new TV app, as well as the new love and celebration screen filters in the Messages app. Also, gone is that frustrating bug that makes you lose whatever you were writing in the quick response bubble after switching to full screen.

Changes to the save camera settings were applied as well. With iOS 10.2, users can preserve the camera's current mode or filter after they close the app. In the Photos app, similar pictures of the same person are now clustered better while receipts, whiteboards, and screenshots aren't classified as memories anymore. In the Music app, swipe-up music controls now have shuffle, repeat, and Up Next options.

The News app, meanwhile, now offers a "Saved" section where users can save the reports they want to read later. A new section displays paid stories from a user's followed channels, and they can also swipe left to read the next article.

Before downloading and installing the iOS 10.2 update, iPhone and iPad users need to back up their device. They can do this by tapping Settings > iCloud > Backup > Back Up Now. To manually back up the device, users can connect the iPhone or iPad to iTunes on a computer through the charging cable.

When the backup process is successful, users should click Settings > General > Software Update > Download > Install. The device should be connected to the Wi-Fi at all times. Have you installed the iOS 10.2 update? How's your experience so far? Share your thoughts below!
