The future of "Girl Meets World" beyond Season 3 is still unknown at this point, but Disney Channel already confirmed that the current season will wrap up before January 2017 ends. A new timeslot was also announced for the coming-of-age sitcom.
"Girl Meets World" Season 3 will return with new episodes on Jan. 6, 13, and the season finale on the 20th day of the month, TVLine listed. The Season 3 finale is titled "Girl Meets Goodbye," which will showcase a huge "Boy Meets World" cast reunion.
The upcoming finale will reunite original "Boy Meets World" actors Ben Savage (Cory) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga) with William Daniels (Mr. Feeny), Betsy Randle (Amy), Anthony Quinn (Mr. Turner), William Russ (Alan), Lee Norris (Minkus), Rider Strong (Shawn), Will Friedle (Eric), and Danny McNulty (Harley), TVLine listed. The gang will help Riley (Rowan Blanchard) make a huge decision.

The remaining "Girl Meets World" Season 3 episodes are moving to an earlier timeslot at 6 PM Eastern time, Nick and More reported. As for the reason behind this change, Disney Channel believes that the move can boost the network's ratings similar to what they generated in the mid-2000s.
Disney Channel's programs before 2006 aired in the early evening hours. In January, "Girl Meets World" will be shown after "Liv and Maddie: Cali Style" at 5:30 PM. "Bizaardvark" follows at 6:30 PM and "K.C. Undercover" at 7:00 PM.
Disney Channel remains mum about a Season 4 renewal or cancellation for "Girl Meets World" and even the actors appear to be clueless about the show's future. Lead star Blanchard tweeted that she's unsure about a fourth season like the fans. The actress, however, joined the show's supporters in a social media campaign for a Season 4 renewal.
So important 4 our gen to be a voice of hope/change & learn from each other. Hoping we continue to have that chance #GirlMeetsWorldSeason4 — Rowan Blanchard (@RowanBlanchard) November 15, 2016
There are speculations that "Girl Meets World" would move to Freeform for Season 4 so it can tackle more mature high school themes, CarterMatt noted. However, those are pure suppositions for now and an official announcement is yet to be made.
