'X-Men' News & Updates: New Mutants Movie, ResurreXion Series & The One-Shot Specials
"X-Men" has lots of villains to defeat and the team is now struggling to fight the stronger opponents that are coming. The team now needs to come together much stronger than before and the relaunch is expected to be much more exciting than ever.
After the "X-Men" big event of "Inhumans Vs X-Men", a new series of the event featured under the banner of ResurreXion will be released. The events will focus on the original goal of the mutants to coexist with the humans. The older series, X-Men Gold, X-Men Blue, and the Generation X will be the series to be leaned on for the launch of the new series.
The "X-Men" series is as follows: the X-Men: PRIME in which the end of the previous event 'Inhumans vs X-Men' will be picked up; X-Men Gold will feature X-Man Kitty Pryde leading a team as Xavier's student.
X-Men Blue will feature the struggle of the team as Charles Xavier is gone and Magneto is trying his best to stop them from neutralizing the mutant's relationship with the humans. Jean Grey will be features as she leads her team as they try to figure out about The Phoenix, Iceman, and the Cable series will also be part of the launch.
The "X-Men" is a big thing and launching a series will be hard, so to get the Mutant Renaissance going, they will have the X-Men: PRIME to start the ball rolling and it will be composed of a one-shot special. The Cable series will be focusing on Cable, the time jumping warrior, and the race against time will be taking a great part of the story.
With all the preparation in "X-Men" comics, the franchise for the movie after the "X-Men: Apocalypse" must be on its way. The director of the movie, Josh Boone tweeted that the film is set to start shooting in May.
The title of the next movie will be "New Mutants" and not much details were released. The cast is not yet finalized and the contracts of the original cast James McCavoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Michael Fassbender might still be under negotiation.
