Good news for all the gamers out there, Nintendo Switch will now be able to play GameCube games with the use of its Virtual Console service. Although this hasn't been officially announced yet, some reports claim that reliable sources have already confirmed such information.

Nintendo Switch To Reportedly Have GameCube Games Available For Virtual Console

The Nintendo Switch will now be the first Nintendo console that will offer GameCube games on its Virtual Console. Currently, there are already three Nintendo games that are being prepped for Nintendo Switch functions such as the following: "Super Mario Sunshine," "Luigi's Mansion" and "Super Smash Bros. Melee." Other than the previously named Nintendo games that are about to be available on Nintendo Switch's Virtual Console, Nintendo is also allegedly prepping the popular GameCube lifestyle, "Animal Crossing" for its Virtual Console. Its title tells all about what it represents, including about more than a dozen of NES classics that avid gamers are all familiar about.

Reports have claimed that Nintendo Switch's Virtual Console is currently being engineered by Nintendo European Research and Development (NERD), which is the same group behind NES Mini micro-console which was already sold out prior to the Christmas season. One of the reasons that Nintendo has pushed to making the Virtual Console available for GameCube games is the "Super Smash Bros. Melee," since it is now currently one of its most popular games, 15 years already after its initial release. Making it available for Virtual Console would drag more customers to their end since it could help many matters rather than rely on its hardware.
