Now that the holiday season is here, it is also the best time to decide which gaming console is the right present for loved ones or for yourself. Two devices have stood out in all of the new gaming console releases and rumors: the PlayStation Pro 4 and Nintendo Switch.
The bad news is, the latter is yet to be released next year. Is it best to buy PlayStation Pro 4 now at the peak of the holiday season, or is Nintendo Switch worth the wait? Of course, the best way to look at how the two fare against each other is to compare their individual specifications.
PlayStation 4 Pro boasts of its highly-regarded processing power. It runs twice as powerful as Sony's PlayStation 4 because of the installed AMD Polaris Architecture GPU. Because of this, gamers are assured of lesser framerate drops and fast gaming experience. Aside from speed, PlayStation 4 Pro already supports 4K resolution, which means, all graphics and animations are now heavily detailed on its display, even when you do not own a TV with a 4K resolution yet.
Meanwhile, early predictions of Nintendo Switch say that the gaming console will also carry 4K display resolution. The good thing that sets Nintendo Switch very different from PlayStation 4 Pro gaming console is that it can be hand-carried. Gamers who really love to see their games' progress more frequently will really love this console. However, many gamers also question the battery life of the device. What reports can only predict now is that the battery might be able to go side by side with Nintendo 3DS'.
In terms of PlayStation 4 Pro and Nintendo Switch's price, some critics say it's not worth to get the PlayStation Pro 4 Pro because of its $100 difference with the non-pro version. While some speculations put Nintendo Switch's price between $250 to $300, while some reports also say it might reach the rate of $400.
