TV Series Renewal Scorecard: Which Shows Are Ending, Canceled Or Renewed For 2016-2017 - ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox, & ABC
Many TV shows are renewed for another season on ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox, and NBC. With the tough competition in the entertainment industry, many have also canceled shows with disappointing ratings. Here are some of the TV shows that are returning or canceled in 2017.
ABC: "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." renewed for season 4, "American Crime" renewed for season 3, "Fresh Off the Boat" confirms season 3, "Grey's Anatomy" will be back for season 13, "How to Get Away With Murder" is renewed for season 3, "Last Man Standing" renewed for season 6. "Modern Family" renewed for season 8, "Once Upon a Time" is coming back for season 6, "Scandal" renewed for season 6, and "The Middle" is renewed for season 8. "Castle" canceled following Season 8, "The Family" will not be returning after season 1 along with "The Muppets," "Blood And Oil," "Galavant," and "Nashville."
CBS: "2 Broke Girls" is renewed for season 6, we'll be seeing more of Sheldon in season 10 of "Big Bang Theory," "Criminal Minds" renewed for season 12, "Elementary" will be coming for season 5. "Hawaii Five-O" renewed for the seventh season, "Madam Secretary" will be returning for season 3, "Mom" is renewed for season 4, "NCIS" is renewed for two more seasons in 2017-2018 including "NCIS: Los Angeles" for season 8 and "NCIS: New Orleans" for season 3. The third season will be added to "The Odd Couple," "Scorpion," and "Zoo." "The Good Wife" is cancelled after season 7, "Extant" cancelled following season 2, "Mike and Molly" cancelled after season 6 along with "Person Of Interest," "Under The Dome," "Limitless," "Rush Hour," "American Gothic," "BrainDead," and "CSI: Cyber."
The CW: "The 100" is returning for season 4, "Arrow" is also coming for season 5, "Beaty And The Beast" is renewed for its last fourth season. Returning for its third season are "The Flash" by WBTV, "iZombie" by WBTV, and "Jane The Virgin" by CBSTVS. "The Originals" is renewed for season 4, "Reign" will be returning for season 4, along with "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries." "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" is renewed for season two along with "Legends of Tomorrow" and "Supergirl." "Containment" was canceled following its first season.
Fox: "American Idol" won't be returning to the small screen after season fifteen. "Bob's Burgers" are renewed through the eighth season, "Bones" is concluding its 12th final season, while "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is returning for season 4. "Empire" is renewed for season 3, "Family Guy" for season 14, "Gotham" for season 3, and "The Last Man on Earth" for season 3. Can't get enough of "The Simpsons" returning for two more seasons through season 30, "Sleepy Hollow" for season 4, and "Wayward Pines" for season 2.
NBC: "The Blacklist" is returning for season 4, the final season of "Grimm," "Law & Order SVU" for season 18. NBC canceled many shows including "Hannibal," "Mr. Robinson," "Coach," and much more.
