Capcom had its problems with “Street Fighter V”, but now they are left in the past and all attention is turned to the game and its latest updates. What new is coming to fans and player of the legendary game series?

Game Rant shares the good news with fans of the “Street Fighter” series. The famous character Akuma will make an appearance in the newest installment of the game. There are six new characters coming to “Street Fighter V” in the form of DLC and Akuma is the first among them. To those unfamiliar with the character, he is a famous villain from the series, who made his first appearance in “Street Fighter 2”. He is the brother of Ryu’s master, but unlike him, has dabbled in the dark arts, in search of the ultimate power.

Polygon shares a list of changes and moves which will be available to the character. As it is expected Akuma will have some hidden tricks to show in “Street Fighter V”. “V-Skill: Rakan” – Akuma will take a defensive stance which allows him to parry attacks and retaliate with an upward kick or a palm strike. “V-Trigger: Dohatsu Shoten” – Akuma will gather ki, enveloping himself in dark energies, unleashing his Dohatsu Shoten mode. In this mode, his attacks are improved, where his Gohadokens will deal additional damage and will now travel through the whole screen. This is just scratching the surface, as many more changes are coming with this character.

The “Street Fighter V” Akuma reveal trailer shows the new character design for the emblematic character. Fans will also be able to see him in action, fighting against Ryu. The character will be made available on 20 December, as purchasing a season pass will give access to the character as well as the next five waiting to be released. The prices for the Season pass are $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99.
