'Once Upon A Time' Episode 9x06 Recap "The Changelings" Spoilers: New Revelations About Belle's Son, Rumple's Childhood & Emma's Killer

Family matters are highlighted in the latest episode of "Once Upon A Time" entitled "The Changelings" with the episode opening to Rumplestiltskin and the Evil Queen menacing yet again in Storybrooke. The episode reveals surprising details about the childhood of Rumple as "Once Upon A Time" attempts to humanize him once more. (Spoiler Alert!)

The "Once Upon A Time" episode entitled "The Changelings" starts with Rumple using a magical dust to a fairy which rapidly ages for many years anyone dusted with it. Belle then thought it as a deterrent to how Rumple would scheme to take their son away from her. Still determined to stop Rumple any way she can, she dreamt of her son speaking to her telling her that what she is looking for is "right in front" of her.

Meanwhile, in the "Once Upon A Time" fairy-tale land, Rumplestiltskin is seen carrying a random baby he had taken. Rumple then tricked Belle into translating a spell, which resurrected a Black Fairy. Turns out, the Black Fairy was Rumple's mother. Rumple confronted his mother, asking him why she abandoned him without even so much as giving him a name. The Black Fairy then told him that she chose power over love, and just as she was about to elaborate, the ink wears off, while Belle returns the baby.

Back in Storybrooke, a small town on "Once Upon A Time" series, Rumple threatened to use the magical dust on Belle, but she convinced him otherwise by telling him that he will lose her. Rumple's love for Belle prevails, but the Evil Queen has other plans. She secretly put the magical aging dust to Belle's tea instantly puffing up her belly. Thinking that Rumple planned the incident, after giving birth to her son, Belle gave the baby to Blue Fairy handing her the "Handsome Hero" book, naming him Gideon, the "strong and brave."

The recent episode of "Once Upon A Time" also showed Snow being held prisoner by Aladdin as a wish-giver, Evil Queen still plotting to kill Regina, and Emma going around town trying to solve the mystery of when what, and who will kill her using the sword she saw in the dream.

The next "Once Upon A Time" episode entitled "Wish You Were Here" will air on December 4, 2016.
